Mouse Not Clicking?
When several buttons stop responding, start with the shared connection and power.
Separate movement from clicks
Does the pointer still move? Does any button work in another application? A mouse with no movement or clicks suggests checking power and connection first. Movement with no click response calls for button mapping and software checks as well.
Check the whole connection path
Charge or replace batteries, check the power switch and reconnect a USB receiver. Plug directly into another port rather than through a hub. Inspect an accessible cable for damage and use a compatible known-good detachable cable when available.
Compare received button events
Use the mouse button test and press each main button deliberately. If no events arrive, use the keyboard to finish and read the incomplete message. The test does not award a zero hardware grade for no input because the browser cannot identify where input was lost.
Try another computer
If the mouse works elsewhere, investigate the original computer’s connection, mapping and official driver updates. If it fails across computers, consult manufacturer support. Keep the observations specific: which buttons, which connection and which applications.

Why does my mouse move but not click?
Movement and button signals are separate. Mapping, software or button hardware can fail while movement still works. Compare button events and another application or computer.
Can low battery cause mouse problems?
Power is a useful first check for a wireless mouse. Charge it or use fresh batteries according to its instructions, then compare the same test. The browser cannot measure your mouse battery.
How do I test when I cannot click Start?
Use Tab to focus Start and press Enter. Keyboard controls run the test but do not count as mouse samples. Use the physical mouse for evidence, and Tab to Finish if no button responds.
